2001 to present (spring semester), I conduct the SOAR to Success, a reading comprehension development program, at Western Middle School with around 40 sixth graders who are reading below grade level. My EDU424 students are the tutors for 10 weeks. I do pre and post statistics on the children’s independent and instructional levels.

The summer of 2001, I organized the Western Middle School summer school reading program for 6 and 7th graders. I trained the teachers and also taught for the 3 week summer school in June 2001.
