Recent Grants

The following is a list of recent grants that involve School of Education faculty:

  • Bell, K., project staff member
    ASSIST (Advocating Strong Standards-based Induction Support for Teachers) project, Michigan State University, a three-year grant from the Michigan State Board of Education, U.S. Department of Education.
    A Michigan Teacher Induction and Professional Development Initiative to develop high quality mentoring and induction resources and tools that support the development of highly qualified teacher leaders in Michigan who can have a significant impact on student achievement.

    Eisenhower Professional Development, Michigan Department of Education, English Educators' Network: Michigan State University
    This one-year grant funded the development and supported the work of a mentor-training university-school network to enhance the teacher preparation program and intern learning at Michigan State University.

    Technology Literacy Challenge Fund Grant, Cycle 5, Michigan Department of Education
    This grant, written when I was K-12 curriculum director, funded a technology lab in the rural school district.

    Developing an Ecology to Prepare Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology
    This catalyst grant was awarded to allow Spring Arbor to help all teacher education institutions in the State of Michigan improve the quality of the technological component of their curriculum and field experience.

    Michigan Colleges Foundation Teacher Preparation Program
    awarded to Albion College
    This grant was used to help develop the technology skills of a cohort of teacher candidates at Albion College and practicing teachers in the Albion Public School system in the context of teaching mathematics.
