Answer to a Frequently Asked Question

Student Teaching Outside the United States

Spring Arbor students are welcome to apply to student teach outside the Unites States. SAU participates as a member of the Christian College Teacher Education
Coordinating Council (CCTECC), "a voluntary association of Christian colleges who have joined forces to provide their students with opportunities for an overseas student teaching experience at a mission or international school."

You may ask to be placed in any school that participates in the program (list). Before applying, you must be accpted into the School of Education and demonstrate potential for a successful experience. If you wish to student teach in the fall, you must apply by November 1 of the preceding year; if the spring, then by March 1 of the preceding year. Contact Professor John Williams for information and application materials.
