11.06.09, 3:50 pm, EST - Two new author podcats posted this weekend. One is from Dr. Christians and the other from Dr. Fackler. Check it out!

Construction of Dr. Christians' Digital Library continues. I expect the first set of articles to go live after NCA.

Speaking of NCA - Drs. Christians, Fackler, McKee and Woods will be in attendance at this year's National Communication Association Meeting. Please look us up in the program and stop by for a chat. The first five people who mention to us that they saw this announcement will receive a free up of coffee!! :-)

10.02.09, 12:24 pm, EST - Clifford Christians Digital Library, first installment, is underway. Will be made available in mid-October.

5.18.09, 1:23 pm, EST - summer updates under way in all major content areas, including Dr. Christians' digital library. New podcasts and film clips available fall 2009. Stay tuned and check this page (and the home page) for announcements.

1.05.09, 8:00 am, EST - Check out the new and improved Instructor Online Learning Center. For instructors who are currently using the book, a userid/password for this area is available from your Pearson representative. Or, contact rwoods@arbor.edu. This userid/password will give you access to every area in the instructor online learning center with the exception of two: film library and author podcasts (see NOTE in paragraph below).

NOTE: a separate userid/password is required for the author podcast area and the media ethics film library, available from rwoods@arbor.edu. Once it is verified that you have adopted the book, the additional username/password will be sent.

11.15.08, 4:30 pm., EST - Check out Prof. Christians' recently published Handbook of Mass Media Ethics, co-edited with Lee Wilkins. This is a must-have for your personal or university library.

11.08.08, 11:23 am., EST - Welcome to the launch of the new and improved companion site for me8! The Film Library and author podcast areas are protected by separte passwords, available only to individuals who have adopted the textbook for official educational use. How Current is the Site?
New content is constantly being added to the site. Officially, the site is updated once per month with new case links, annotated websites, glossary terms, audio/video clips, learning exercises, lesson plan suggestions, teaching tips, and the most current issues facing media practitioners and scholars.
 
What's here for Instructors?
The Instructor Online Learning page gives you access to an assortment of instructional materials, including chapter outlines, case resources, and more. Password protected pages provide access to a media ethics film library and lesson plans that include assigned readings, lectures, discussion questions, PPTs and various learning activities. Instructor materials are updated regularly. For instructors who are currently using the book, a userid/password for this area is available from your Pearson representative. Or, contact rwoods@arbor.edu. NOTE: a separate userid/password is required for the author podcast area and the media ethics film library.
 
What's here for Students? Practitioners? Researchers?
For students and other professionals, we have a rich assortment of general media ethics resources along with sources designed specifically to supplement the material and cases in ME7. In the Student Online Learning Center you'll find chapter outlines, PPT slides, quizzes, case resource pages, a glossary, annotated websites, an annotated bibliography, and much more.
 
What if you have a suggestion about how to improve this site?
We welcome your input and desire to make this site both user-friendly and practical for students, scholars and researchers of media ethics. Address all correspondence regarding features of this site to rwoods@arbor.edu.
 

Special Thanks and Acknowledgements
In developing the site and its materials, we sought input from both students, instructors and web consultants. The authors of ME7 extend special thanks to Randy Meredith, Jason Baker, and Samuel Ebersole for their technical expertise, pedagogical awareness, and web-friendly design approaches.

In addition, several Spring Arbor University research students labored tirelessly throughout spring and summer semesters to gather resources and track down relevant materials for users of this site.
