  Q1: How do I get a SAU ID card?
A1: If you are an incoming freshman you will have your picture taken during pre-registration. Your SAU ID card will be ready for you to pick up during registration. For all other students and incoming freshmen that did not attend a pre-registration session, you will need to visit the Help Desk located in the lower level of Dietzman Hall.
 
  Q2: How do I replace a lost, stolen, or damaged card?
A2: To replace your SAU ID Card you will need to go to the Help Desk located in the lower level of Dietzman Hall. If your SAU ID Card is lost or stolen notify the Help Desk immediately (750-1234 or ext. 1234) so we can invalidate it to avoid unauthorized use.
 
  Q3. Is there cost for replacing a card?
A3. It depends...
  SAU will replace your SAU ID Card free of charge if:
 
  • your name has changed, provided you return the old card when the new one is issued.
  • your existing card is not working and the card has no a hole(s) punched in it or has not been damaged due to bending, creasing, cutting, or any other obvious abuse.
  • you are a student returning after being gone one year or more.
  • your card has been stolen and you bring in a police report listing the theft of the card.
  You will be charged a non-refundable $10.00 replacement fee if:
 
  • your card is lost
  • your card is stolen and you do not present a police report listing the theft of the card.
  • your card has a hole(s) punched in it or has been damaged due to bending, creasing, cutting, or any other obvious abuse.
  • your name has changed and you do not return the old card when the new one is issued
  • you are a student re-enrolling after being gone for less than two consecutive semesters and your old card is lost or damaged.
 
  Q4: Who can get temporary Cougar OneCard?
A4: The temporary Cougar OneCard is for students who have:
 
  • lost their card, but hope to find it.
  • left their card somewhere other than campus and will be getting it back shortly.
  A record is kept of students who receive a temporary card.
A temporary card is signed out, and signed in when returned.
You must return the temporary card as soon as you recover your permanet card.
 

Temporary card misuse
If a temporary card is not returned after the permanent card has been located, the student will be required to meet with the Vice President of Student Development & Learning.

If a temporary card has expired but has not been returned to the office that issued it, the student will be required to meet with the Vice President of Student Development & Learning.

Disciplinary action will be taken if students do not comply with temporary card usage guidelines.

 
  Q5: How do I get a temporary ID card?
A4: You'll need to go to Student Development located in the basement of the Kresge Center to get a temporary card.
