How do I map a network drive?

Follow the instructions below to map your F: or H:, or other network drive.

If these instructions are not helpful solving your problem please contact the Help Desk for assistance, x1234.

1. Right click on "My Computer", located on the desktop.
 

 

 

 

2. Click on "Map Network Drive..."  
       
3.

For "Drive" select the "F:" drive.

 
       
4.

STUDENTS:
For "Path" type "\\BLUEJAY\HOMES".

FACULTY & STAFF:
For "Path" type "\\TIGER\HOMES".

   
       
5.

Make sure that the "Reconnect at logon" box is checked.

Click "OK".

   
       
  If after completing steps 1-5 there is an error message indicating the computer cannot connect, do the following:    
       
6. Shut down the computer.    
       
7. Then unplug the network cord (going from your network card to the network connection in the wall) from both the back of the computer and from the wall.    
       
8. Wait 30 seconds and then plug card back in and turn computer back on.
