How do I configure McAfee for Auto Update?

Follow the instructions below to configure McAfee to automatically update your virus signature file.
NOTE: Depending on your current configuration of McAfee you will need to complete specific pages in this tutorial. Carefully compare your McAfee screens with those in the tutorial to insure you complete the steps needed.

1.	In the lower right hand corner of your monitor you will find an icon which looks like a magnifying glass. Double click on this icon.


2.	In the McAfee Scheduler window, double click on “AutoUpdate”. The Task Properties dialog box will appear.


3.	In the Task Properties dialog box click the “Configure” button. The AutoUpdate dialog box will appear..


3.	IF the Automatic Update dialog window looks like the image on the right your copy of McAfee was previously configure for Automatic Update but needs editing. If this is the case, proceed to Checking your current Automatic Update settings. Or...


	...IF your copy of McAfee has not been configured for Automatic Update the Automatic Update dialog window will look like the image on the right. If this is the case, go to Creating a new SAU AutoUpdate configuration.
