How do I scan my PC for a computer virus? (Page 1 of 3)

Follow the instructions below to scan your PC's disk drives for a virus.
NOTE: You will need to complete all 3 pages, about 5 steps total, to be sure your PC is virus free.
If you do not find McAfee already installed on your PC please contact the help desk for assistance, x1234.

1.	Click on the "Start" button. (Usually located In the lower right hand corner of your screen). If the "Start" button isn't visable move your mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen.


2.	Move cursor up to "Programs" in the pop up menu and then over to "McAfee VirusScan" in the next menu that comes up. Finally in the third menu place the mouse cursor on the Icon for "McAfee VirusScan". Click once on McAfee VirusScan...


	...this will start the McAfee VirusScan program, as shown on the right.


3.	Click on the "Action" tab.


	The Action dialog box appears. Continue to Step 4.
