Teacher Education Workroom

Located in the Library Lower Level, the Teacher Education Workroom provides SAU students with access to equipment and materials that allow users to create resources to enhance classroom activity. For hours, contact the library at

Workroom resources include:
  • Die Cut Machines & Die Cuts

  • Color Laser Printer & HP Design Jet Poster Maker

  • Laminator, Book Binder, Artwaxer

  • Typewriter, Paper Cutters, Transparencies

  • Project Books , Charts, Scrap Magazines, & Posters

    Minimal charges for laminator, transparencies,
    binders, copies and materials for Die Cut.
    Users may bring their own supplies for Die Cut Machines.

Teacher Education Computer Lab

This small three-computer lab gives teacher education student access to educational software. Current programs available at the Circulation Desk include:

  • Science Seekers: Safe Waters. Students are faced with the challenge of finding out who is polluting the ground water of Fairview. To find the culprit, they must learn how groundwater gets undergound and how it behaves underground.
  • Thinkin' Science. A science program for grades K-2.
  • The Digital Frog. The user studies various organs of North and South American frogs and toads using videos and animation.
  • Timeliner 5.0. This program helps students acquire a visual perspective of personal and historical events and allows them to create and print out time lines of historical, contemporary, and future events. Time lines can be created to display the relationship between proportional items such as time, size, weight, speed, distance, and temperature.
