Graduate Program in Education Graduate courses in education are offered every semester at each location that has a graduate education program. Not all courses are available at all locations; however, sufficient courses are provided at each location to complete an MAE in two full academic years. Graduate courses may be divided into two categories: Required MAE courses consist of a core group of courses and at least one liberal arts course. The remainder of the courses are elective. Some courses are offered as combined undergraduate/graduate courses, where the graduate students have expectations for completing more coursework. Spring Arbor also partners with a variety of educational organizations to offer special workshops for graduate credit. These organizations include Kagan Professional Development, the Jackson Intermediate School District (Mary Groom), the Calhoun Intermediate School District (Peggy Stewart), the Hillsdale Intermediate School District (Patrick Dillon), Advantage Discipline, and Pearson AGS Globe. Upcoming Kagan, AD, and Pearson AGS Globe workshops are listed in the SAU course schedules. The ISD workshops are not listed; please contact the ISD staff person listed above to find out more about obtaining SAU graduate credit for ISD workshops.
